The Boxer Giant is the Builder Base tank that walks straight for defenses. He unlocks at Builder Barracks level 3 (Builder Hall 3), starts at level 3, and goes up to level 20 at Builder Hall 10. In Builder Base 2.0 he hits hard once with Power Punch, then can make himself invulnerable for a few seconds with Boxer Block.
How the Boxer Giant works
He is the Builder Base version of the Home Village Giant: lots of hitpoints, low damage per second, and a single target he chooses for you. He ignores everything except defenses while any defense is still standing, including Guard Post troops and the Zappies that shoot at him. Once the last defense on the stage is gone, he hits whatever building is closest and will fight enemy troops near him.
He has two abilities:
- Power Punch is passive. His first hit on a building deals a set, much larger amount of damage than his normal swing.
- Boxer Block is a one-time active ability from level 4. Tap him and he drinks his bottle and blocks all damage for 5 to 8 seconds, depending on level.
Only one Boxer Giant fits in each Army Camp slot, at every level.
Unlock and level stats
Upgrade the Builder Barracks to level 3 to unlock him. Since May 2023 he arrives at level 3 instead of level 1. All further levels are researched with Builder Elixir in the Star Laboratory.

How to attack with Boxer Giants
- Pair them with something fragile and strong. A common split is two or three slots of Boxer Giants and the rest Cannon Carts, with the Battle Machine taking one of the Giants’ jobs when it is available.
- Point Power Punch at the anti-air. His first hit can take out an unprotected Firecrackers or Air Bombs, which opens the base for Beta Minions or Baby Dragons.
- Hold Boxer Block until he is standing next to a Crusher or Mega Tesla. Five to eight seconds of no damage is enough to finish most defenses at his level.
- Because he skips non-defenses, he reaches towers hidden behind a ring of huts. Make sure the huts are not high-hitpoint buildings that will stall his support.
How to defend against Boxer Giants
- Wall your defenses. After the first punch his damage is low, so a few Wall pieces buy a lot of time.
- The Crusher kills a same-level Boxer Giant in a few hits, unless he blocks. Put it where he will arrive late, after Boxer Block has been spent.
- A Push Trap needs 18 spring capacity (level 6 or higher) to move him. Push him away from his support, or deeper into the base ahead of it.
- Place tough non-defense buildings in front of defenses with small gaps in the Walls, so his support troops wander off while he walks on alone.
Changes over time
- May 15, 2023 (Builder Base 2.0): Boxer Block added as a one-time active ability; Power Punch stays as a passive; he unlocks at level 3; single-slot troops like the Boxer Giant got more precise targeting; levels 19 and 20 opened at Builder Hall 10.
- June 12, 2023: removed a delay that left him stuck briefly after Boxer Block ended.

What does the Boxer Giant target?
Defenses, and nothing else while any defense on the stage is standing. He even ignores Guard Post troops that are hitting him. After the last defense falls he attacks the nearest building or enemy troop.
When does Boxer Block unlock?
At level 4, which is the first Star Laboratory upgrade after you unlock him.
How many Boxer Giants fit in one Army Camp?
One. That number does not change with upgrades.
