News about how Clash of Clans Clan Wars will work has finally been released by Supercell. Clan wars will take place over 48 hours. The first 24 hours will be a preparation day. The second 24 hours will be battle day.
As the name suggests clan wars is a battle between two clans. The winning clan will win a large loot bonus divided up to every clan mate who had a successful attack.
Leaders and co-leaders are the only ones who can start a clan war. Unfortunately you can’t pick a specific clan to attack. The game will search for an opponent clan of similar strength based on each member’s attacking power (troops, army camp capacity, spells and heroes) and defensive strength (defense buildings, walls, traps and heroes).
A battle base will be generate that is separate from your village. In this way your village is safe from clan wars. Once the clan war begins you will see a war map. Friendly territories will be on the left and enemy clans on the right. Every town hall on the war map represents a war base.
