Clash of Clans Super Witch

By October 1st, 2026No Comments

Updated for Town Hall 18 (October 2026).

The Super Witch is the Super Troop version of the Witch. Instead of a swarm of small Skeletons she summons one huge skeleton called the Big Boy, and she takes 40 housing space. You can boost her from Town Hall 12 once your Witch is level 5, and her highest level is 8 at Town Hall 18.

How to unlock and boost the Super Witch

Super Troops aren’t trained from scratch. You temporarily upgrade a regular troop into its Super form at the Super Sauna, which shows up in your village at Town Hall 11. These are the rules as of October 2026:

  • A boost costs 25,000 Dark Elixir or one Super Potion and lasts 3 days. While it runs you can train both the Super Witch and the normal Witch.
  • Only two different Super Troops can be boosted at the same time. Super Troop Spotlight events raise that to three, as long as one is the featured troop.
  • You can cancel a boost at any time to swap to another Super Troop. You get nothing back, and any Super Witches already in your camps are removed.
  • Her level always matches your researched Witch level. You never upgrade the Super Witch directly; finishing a Witch upgrade in the Laboratory during a boost upgrades her on the spot.
  • Clanmates can donate her even if they don’t have her boosted, as long as they meet the requirement. To receive one, your Clan Castle must be level 8 or higher.

The Witch requirement is level 5, which needs a level 10 Laboratory, so Town Hall 12 is the earliest you can boost her yourself. If your Witch is below level 5, the Super Sauna shows which level you still need (added in February 2026).

What the Super Witch does

She has no favorite target. She attacks the closest building with splash damage from 4 tiles away, hitting every 0.7 seconds, and moves at speed 12. If enemy Clan Castle troops, heroes or Skeleton Trap skeletons start a fight near her, she turns to deal with them first and goes back to buildings once they are dead.

Her Big Boy is a slow-swinging melee skeleton with a lot of health that only hits ground targets. She keeps one alive at a time and summons a new one when it dies. The first summon takes a little longer than a normal Witch’s first Skeletons, which matters for where you drop her.

That design flips the normal Witch’s weakness. Plain Witches lose their Skeletons to Wizard Towers and multi-target Inferno Towers; one big body shrugs off splash but melts to single-target damage.

Super Witch levels and stats

Super Witch level Damage per second Hitpoints Witch level / Laboratory level Town Hall needed to boost
5 360 3,200 5 / 10 12
6 390 3,400 6 / 13 15
7 430 3,750 7 / 14 16
8 470 4,100 8 / 16 18

Levels 1 to 4 also exist (240 to 330 DPS) but only show up in Super Witch Mini Spotlight events. Housing space is 40 at every level, so a fully upgraded set of Army Camps holds 8 of them.

How to attack with Super Witches

  • Drop her outside defense range so the first Big Boy is out before anything shoots at her.
  • Run several together in a smash-style push through the middle of a base. Each Big Boy soaks damage for the group and buys time for the next summon.
  • Protect every one of them. Losing a single Super Witch costs 40 housing space, so bring Healers or Druids and set up a funnel first with Wizards or a hero walk.
  • Use Freeze or Lightning Spells on single-target Inferno Towers and other high-damage single-target defenses before they lock onto her.
  • Against an Eagle Artillery, have a high-HP unit like the Barbarian King draw its fire, deployed before the Eagle activates.

She also suits the Clone Spell, but only from level 8 of the spell: that is the first level with more than 40 clone capacity.

How to defend against Super Witches

  • Set Inferno Towers to single-target mode. Monoliths, Ricochet Cannons, Firespitters and fast-attack Multi-Gear Towers also chew through her.
  • Keep non-defensive buildings within range of a defense, so defenses can start shooting her before the Big Boy appears.
  • Give the base several pathing options. A big open layout splits the Big Boys from their Witches and leaves the Witches exposed.
  • In your own Clan Castle she is a weak choice, because she fills most of the space and leaves little to cover her weak spots. A single P.E.K.K.A backed by defenses beats her.
