Updated for Town Hall 18 (October 2026).
Goblin Mines is the eighth and newest district of the Clan Capital, unlocked at Capital Hall 9. Supercell added it on October 9, 2023 with the Super Miner, the Mega Sparky, the Endless Haste Spell and two Goblin-themed defenses, the Goblin Thrower and the Spear Trap. Mountains and rivers wall off much of the map from ground troops. Like Skeleton Park, its District Hall stops at level 4, reached at Capital Hall 10.
What Goblin Mines unlocks
| Unit | Housing space | Opens at | What it does |
|---|---|---|---|
| Super Miner | 25 | District Hall 1 | Tunnels under any terrain to the nearest building; drill damage climbs the longer it stays on one target; drops a bomb when defeated |
| Mega Sparky | 100 | District Hall 2 | Slow Mega Troop that targets defenses with a charged blast and wide splash |
| Endless Haste Spell | 3 | District Hall 2 | Troops that pass through keep a speed boost for the rest of the battle; stays on the map for four attacks |
All three have four levels. The Super Miner goes from 3,400 to 4,300 hitpoints and the Mega Sparky from 10,000 to 13,600, with levels 3 and 4 needing Capital Hall 10. Endless Haste’s speed boost rises from 7 at level 1 to 10 at level 4. In-game, the Super Miner Barracks ruin is there from District Hall 1, while the Mega Sparky Workshop and Endless Haste Spell Factory ruins appear at District Hall 2. Both District Hall levels need only Capital Hall 9, so a clan can have all three right away.
Goblin Mines’ own defenses
The Goblin Thrower lobs barrels at ground troops. Each barrel does a little splash damage and releases three Spear Goblins that fight as defenders. A Thrower has only five barrels for the whole raid; once they are gone it sits idle, and if it is destroyed early, the barrels it still holds break open and release their Goblins.
The Spear Trap fires a volley of spears, one per enemy, when at least 8 housing space of troops is inside its radius. It kills Sneaky Archers even while they are invisible. A single Super Barbarian or Battle Ram is not enough to set it off.
The district also gets the Reflector and Mini-Minion Hive first seen in Skeleton Park, and rails run across the map. Rails only stop you from placing buildings; troops walk over them.

Eight Rapid Rockets at District Hall 4 matches Capital Peak for the most in the Capital, so air raids here need care. The many Goblin huts and outposts are neutral buildings; along with Skeleton Park’s, they are why Supercell raised the Capital Hall 8 to 10 requirements when this district arrived.
How to attack Goblin Mines in Raid Weekends
- Lead with Super Miners. They burrow under mountains and rivers that stop every other ground troop, and defenses cannot hit them until they surface.
- Drain the Goblin Throwers. Each has five barrels for the entire raid, so the first attacks that soak them make the district easier for everyone after.
- Clear Spear Goblins with Lightning, which kills them at the same level, or bring Super Wizards behind your defense-targeting troops.
- Waste the Spear Traps. Send a Super Giant or another big unit first so it triggers the volley alone, then follow with small troops.
- Place Endless Haste early. It lasts four attacks, so one spell speeds up three more raiders, and it helps slow units like the Mega Sparky and Mountain Golem most.
- Watch for Log Traps in front of a Mega Sparky. A roll knocks it back and resets its slow charge.
Base-building tips for Goblin Mines
- Put Goblin Throwers behind walls, ideally with their range reaching just past a wall so the Spear Goblins stay protected while they throw.
- Set Spear Traps deep in the base. Near the edge, a single big troop sets them off and wastes most of the spears.
- Let the mountains and rivers do the walling. With only 100 wall pieces at max, natural barriers save a lot of wall for the core.
- Keep Reflectors behind walls and the Mini-Minion Hive in the back, guarded by splash.
