Best TH15 Attack Strategies (2026)

By October 1st, 2026No Comments

Updated for Town Hall 18 (October 2026).

The four Town Hall 15 armies worth learning in 2026 are RC Walk Root Riders, RC Walk Dragons, Queen Charge Super Bowlers and Fireball Super Witches. Below, each one gets the full army (troops, spells, siege, Clan Castle, heroes, equipment and pets), the bases and modes it suits, a step-by-step attack plan and the mistakes that most often cost the third star.

Every army on this page fits a TH15 camp exactly: 320 housing space, 11 spell slots, and a Clan Castle with 50 troop spaces, 3 spell slots and 1 siege machine.

What you are working with at Town Hall 15

At Town Hall 15 your four Army Camps hold 80 each, for 320 housing space. Spell space stays at 11: 10 from the Spell Factory and 1 from the Dark Spell Factory. A level 11 Clan Castle adds 50 troop spaces, 3 spell slots and 1 siege machine.

TH15 is also the first level with all six heroes. The Hero Hall still fields only four per attack, so every army below names its four. The Dragon Duke needs Hero Hall level 9, and Frosty, Diggy, Poison Lizard and Phoenix join the Pet House at this level.

On defense you meet two Spell Towers (Rage, Poison or Invisibility mode), the Monolith, which hits harder the more maximum hitpoints its target has, and the Giga Inferno with its poison death bomb. Since October 2025 the Town Hall weapon is maxed the moment you reach TH15, so every TH15 base you hit has the full version.

The four armies at a glance

Army Best use Main damage Spells you bring
RC Walk Root Riders War and CWL, most layouts Root Riders and Valkyries 5 Invisibility, Recall, Overgrowth, Freeze, Poison
RC Walk Dragons Spread bases, weak air defense 12 Dragons 11 Invisibility
Queen Charge Super Bowlers Compact war bases Super Bowlers 3 Invisibility, 3 Rage, Recall
Fireball Super Witches Stacked cores Super Witches 4 Invisibility, 2 Earthquake, Rage, Jump, Skeleton

Ranked Battles give you a limited number of attacks each week, so bring the army you trust most there. Regular Battles carry no trophy risk, which makes them the place to practice a new army while you farm.

1. RC Walk Root Riders

The Royal Champion walks into the base under Invisibility Spells, cuts the funnel and takes out the defenses that would stop the push, then gets recalled and joins a slow, tanky push of Root Riders and Valkyries. Root Riders head for defenses and flatten Walls as they roll over them, so the Valkyries behind them never get stuck. Of the four, it copes with the widest range of layouts.

Army composition

The Sky Wagon isn’t available in your own Workshop at TH15, so it has to come from a clanmate. Rocket Balloons and Super Barbarians are Super Troops you boost before the attack.

When to use it

Bring it to war and Clan War League when you aren’t sure what else fits. It needs a clear path for the Champion into the base; if every entry sends her along the outer ring, pick another army.

How to run it

  1. Choose the side where a walk pushes the Royal Champion inward, toward the Town Hall if possible. Drop her and use her ability straight away.
  2. Keep her alive with an Invisibility Spell roughly every four seconds. Steer with Rocket Balloons if she starts drifting.
  3. When the funnel is done or the Invisibility Spells run out, cast Recall over her.
  4. Send the Ice Golem, Root Riders, Valkyries, Grand Warden, Sky Wagon and the recalled Champion in together. Put the King and Queen on the opposite side to build the second funnel, and use the Queen’s Giant Arrow early on an Air Defense or another big defense.
  5. Drop the first Overgrowth to steer the push into the base. Overgrowth wraps buildings so they can’t attack and your troops ignore them.
  6. Hold the Warden’s Eternal Tome until the army reaches the Town Hall, so it covers the Giga Inferno’s poison.
  7. Put the second Overgrowth (from the Clan Castle) on the back end, and use Freeze and Poison where the army takes the most damage.

Common mistakes

  • Starting the walk on a side that sends the Champion around the edge. She clears outside buildings and the funnel ends up wide and useless.
  • Using the Eternal Tome as soon as the main army lands. The Town Hall section is where the push needs it.
  • Recalling too late. If she falls before the Recall lands, you lose your best cleanup unit.

2. RC Walk Dragons

The same Champion walk opens this air attack, but the second funnel comes from the Dragon Duke instead of the Queen. Twelve Dragons then follow a path that is already cut. It is the easiest of the four to pick up, because the Dragons only need to follow the lane the heroes made.

Army composition

  • Troops (320): 12 Dragons, 2 Baby Dragons, 6 Rocket Balloons, 1 Wizard, 3 Minions, 2 Archers
  • Spells (11): 11 Invisibility
  • Workshop: Flame Flinger, Siege Barracks and Battle Drill trained as options
  • Clan Castle: 4 Super Minions, 1 Minion; 2 Totem and 1 Earthquake spells; Sky Wagon
  • Royal Champion: Rocket Spear, Electro Boots; Diggy
  • Dragon Duke: Fire Heart, Flame Blower; Frosty
  • Grand Warden: Eternal Tome, Rage Gem; Electro Owl
  • Minion Prince: Dark Crown, Dark Orb; Phoenix

When to use it

Spread-out bases and bases whose Air Defenses sit where the Champion or Duke can reach them. Skip it against a tight core with every Air Defense and Air Sweeper in the middle.

How to run it

  1. Cast the Clan Castle Earthquake on a corner, place the Royal Champion there and use her ability.
  2. Keep casting Invisibility about every four seconds. Drop each spell over the defense she was just attacking, not where she is going: Electro Boots damages everything around her, so she keeps hurting that defense as she walks on.
  3. Use Rocket Balloons to guide her and pick off defenses on her path. Lead her toward the Town Hall if you can.
  4. Send the Dragon Duke alone from the opposite side. With no friendly air units within 6 tiles, his Royal Rampage passive doubles his damage and raises his attack speed by 50%.
  5. Deploy the Dragons in a line with the Warden and Sky Wagon on the Champion’s side. Pop the Warden’s ability when the Dragons reach the heaviest damage.
  6. Save the Minion Prince’s ability (Dark Orb slows the defenses it passes) for the back of the base, and send cleanup troops around the outside so the Dragons don’t wander off.

Common mistakes

  • Deploying Dragons or Balloons close to the Duke. Any friendly air unit near him switches off Royal Rampage.
  • Placing Invisibility ahead of the Champion. She walks out of it and loses the value of her aura.
  • Leaving outer buildings standing. Dragons go for the nearest building, and an untouched edge pulls them away from the core.

3. Queen Charge Super Bowlers

The Archer Queen walks in with five Healers behind her and strips the Town Hall, the Clan Castle and big core defenses before the main push lands. Super Bowlers then finish a base that has already lost most of its punch.

Army composition

  • Troops (320): 5 Super Bowlers, 5 Healers, 2 Ice Golems, 1 Apprentice Warden, 2 Super Wall Breakers, 2 Balloons, 1 Baby Dragon, 2 Headhunters, 1 Minion
  • Spells (11): 3 Invisibility, 3 Rage, 1 Recall
  • Workshop: Flame Flinger, Siege Barracks and Battle Drill trained as options
  • Clan Castle: 1 Super Yeti, 3 Balloons; 2 Totem and 1 Poison spells; Sky Wagon
  • Archer Queen: Monolith Arrow, Action Figure; Frosty
  • Barbarian King: Spiky Ball, Snake Bracelet; Diggy
  • Grand Warden: Eternal Tome, Heroic Torch; Electro Owl
  • Royal Champion: Rocket Spear, Electro Boots; Phoenix

When to use it

Compact war and CWL bases where the Town Hall and Clan Castle sit close enough to one edge for the Queen to reach both. If neither is reachable from any side, a Champion walk army is the safer pick.

How to run it

  1. Drop the Queen and her five Healers on the side closest to the Town Hall and Clan Castle. Poison the Clan Castle troops when they come out.
  2. Send one Ice Golem ahead of her to soak damage. If an Inferno Tower locks onto the Healers, cast Invisibility over them at once. Use a Rage Spell when she needs to break through a heavy spot.
  3. Once the funnel is open, Recall the Queen.
  4. Send the other Ice Golem, the Super Bowlers, the Sky Wagon, the Grand Warden and the recalled Queen together. The King and Royal Champion go on the far side for a second funnel.
  5. When the Super Bowlers reach the core, cast Rage and use the Warden’s ability at the same moment.
  6. Throw the Clan Castle Totems near the Monolith, then let the heroes clear the outside defenses.

Common mistakes

  • Choosing a charge path that misses the Town Hall or Clan Castle. Getting both in the charge is what makes this army work.
  • Letting an Inferno Tower melt the Healers before you react. Watch the beams, not the Queen.
  • Sending the Super Bowlers before the funnel is clean. They peel off toward outside buildings instead of heading for the core.

4. Fireball Super Witches

The Grand Warden’s Fireball equipment throws a big splash fireball at the nearest defense. Aimed at a stacked group of defenses and finished with Earthquake Spells, it deletes a chunk of the base before any troop goes in. Super Witches then walk through the gap.

Army composition

  • Troops (320): 4 Super Witches, 5 Healers, 1 Apprentice Warden, 1 Ice Golem, 1 Super Wall Breaker, 3 Balloons, 1 Baby Dragon, 2 Headhunters, 2 Wizards, 2 Archers
  • Spells (11): 4 Invisibility, 2 Earthquake, 1 Rage, 1 Jump, 1 Skeleton
  • Clan Castle: 2 Hog Riders, 5 Valkyries; 1 Poison and 2 Totem spells; Siege Barracks
  • Grand Warden: Fireball, Rage Gem; Electro Owl
  • Barbarian King: Spiky Ball, Earthquake Boots; Phoenix
  • Archer Queen: Action Figure, Giant Arrow; Unicorn
  • Royal Champion: Rocket Spear, Electro Boots; Diggy

When to use it

Bases with several defenses packed together where the Warden can reach them: a Scattershot pair, a Spell Tower set to Invisibility, or a compartment by the Monolith. On a spread base the Fireball hits one building and the plan falls apart.

How to run it

  1. Walk the Grand Warden toward the cluster you picked. The Fireball flies at the closest defense, so cast Invisibility over any nearer defense you don’t want hit (hidden buildings can’t be targeted). Finish the damaged buildings with the two Earthquakes.
  2. Use the Queen’s Giant Arrow early to set off any Invisibility Spell Tower before the main push reaches it.
  3. Build the funnel with the King, the Queen and the Siege Barracks.
  4. Send the Super Witches with the Ice Golem and Healers toward the Eagle Artillery or the Monolith. Cast Jump where a wall line would stall them, and Rage when they reach the core.
  5. Cycle the Totems on whatever is hitting the Witches hardest, and place the Skeleton Spell near the Monolith.
  6. Bring the Royal Champion in from the side to clean up the last defenses. Hold the King’s ability to open the back end.

Common mistakes

  • Fireballing a cluster that isn’t actually stacked. Pick the target before the attack starts.
  • Forgetting the Invisibility tower. If it goes off mid-push, it hides the buildings around it and the Witches stall.
  • Deploying the Witches before the funnel is set. They walk to outside buildings and never reach the core.

FAQ

What is the best TH15 attack strategy in 2026?

RC Walk Root Riders is the safest all-round choice because it works on the most layouts. Bring RC Walk Dragons against spread bases and Queen Charge Super Bowlers when the Queen can reach the Town Hall and Clan Castle in one charge.

What is the best TH15 army for war?

All four armies above are war armies. Scout the base first: compact cores suit Super Bowlers or Fireball Super Witches, spread bases suit Dragons, and Root Riders handle the rest.

How many spells can I bring at TH15?

Eleven spell slots of your own plus 3 in a level 11 Clan Castle. Invisibility, Freeze, Poison, Earthquake and Skeleton take 1 slot each, while Rage, Jump, Recall and Overgrowth take 2.

Do I need the Dragon Duke for these armies?

Only RC Walk Dragons uses him. The other three use the King, Queen, Warden and Champion, so you can run them while the Duke is still low level.
