Best TH13 Attack Strategies (2026)

By October 1st, 2026No Comments

Updated for Town Hall 18 (October 2026).

The strongest Town Hall 13 attacks in 2026 are Queen Charge Hybrid, P.E.K.K.A Smash, Super Witches with the Fireball, Royal Champion Charge Dragons and Electro Dragons. TH13 adds the Royal Champion and a fourth hero slot, and every one of these armies uses her. Below you will find each army in full, when to bring it, how to run it step by step and the mistakes that cost stars.

What changes for attackers at Town Hall 13

  • Housing space rises to 300, and the Clan Castle (level 9) holds 45 troop spaces, 2 spells and 1 Siege Machine.
  • Spell space stays at 11. Lightning, Freeze, Invisibility, Poison, Earthquake, Haste, Skeleton and Bat take 1 space; Healing, Rage, Jump, Recall and Overgrowth take 2; Clone takes 3.
  • The Hero Hall reaches level 7, which brings the Royal Champion and a fourth hero slot. With five heroes and four slots, one still sits out.
  • Your Workshop adds the Siege Barracks and Log Launcher, and the Recall Spell unlocks.
  • You now face two Scattershots and the Giga Inferno, which stays asleep until the Town Hall is hit or the attack reaches 51%.

Pets are still one Town Hall away. Training is free and instant, so trying a new army costs nothing but an attack. Full max levels are in the Town Hall 13 guide.

TH13 armies at a glance

Army Type Best for Difficulty
Queen Charge Hybrid Ground, Hogs and Miners War and CWL, including TH14 opponents Medium
P.E.K.K.A Smash Ground smash War, CWL and Ranked Easy to medium
Super Witch Fireball Ground smash Compact bases, Ranked Medium
RC Charge Dragons Hero charge into air Bases with reachable Air Defenses Hard
Electro Dragons Air Any base with a clean middle lane Easy

1. Queen Charge Hybrid

The Archer Queen and Healers carve a path to the Town Hall and the most dangerous defenses, then Miners and Hog Riders follow the lane she opened. A September 2026 guide calls it one of the few TH13 armies that also triples TH14 bases.

Army composition

Slot What to bring
Troops (300) 16 Miners, 9 Hog Riders, 5 Healers, 3 Super Wall Breakers, 3 Balloons, 2 Headhunters, 2 Wizards, 1 Yeti, 1 Baby Dragon, 1 Minion
Spells (11) 3 Rage, 2 Healing, 1 Freeze
Siege Siege Barracks, or a Flame Flinger from a TH14+ clanmate to cut the outside
Clan Castle 9 Hog Riders, plus a Freeze and a Poison
Heroes Barbarian King (Giant Gauntlet, Rage Vial), Archer Queen (Frozen Arrow, Invisibility Vial), Grand Warden (Eternal Tome, Healing Tome), Royal Champion (Seeking Shield, Royal Gem)

On bases with two single-target Infernos around the Town Hall, swap one Rage for a Recall Spell and the army Freeze for an Invisibility Spell. The Clan Castle Freeze covers you.

When to use it

This is a war and Clan War Leagues army. It suits bases where the Queen can reach the Town Hall or a cluster of single-target Infernos from one side.

How to attack

  1. Send one Balloon ahead of the Queen to set off Seeking Air Mines before they find your Healers.
  2. Open the first Wall with a Wall Breaker and walk the Queen toward the Town Hall, single Infernos, the Eagle Artillery or the enemy Clan Castle. Keep a spare Wall Breaker in case her path closes.
  3. When the Clan Castle troops come out, Poison them and let the Queen finish the job.
  4. If an Inferno Tower locks on, Rage first and then Freeze it. Against two Infernos, turn the Queen invisible into the Town Hall section, then Recall her before both Infernos focus her and redeploy her on the back side.
  5. Start the King and the siege machine on the opposite side to build the second half of the funnel.
  6. Deploy the Miners and Hog Riders in a controlled line, never all at once.
  7. Heal as the hybrid enters the first heavy section, then use the Warden’s Eternal Tome for the deeper push. Rage the core.
  8. Drop the Royal Champion behind the hybrid to take defenses from the side, and save the last Heal for the final single Inferno.

Common mistakes

  • Using the Eternal Tome before the first Heal. The Heal stabilizes the entry; the Tome is for the hardest stretch later.
  • A one-sided funnel. Without the King cutting the opposite edge, Miners and Hogs split and wander.
  • Burning Rage and Freeze on the Queen before the Clan Castle troops are dead.

2. P.E.K.K.A Smash

P.E.K.K.As and Bowlers walk straight through the center while heroes hold both edges. It is the strongest ground spam at TH13 and safe when the funnel is clean.

Army composition

Slot What to bring
Troops (300) 4 P.E.K.K.As, 6 Bowlers, 5 Healers, 1 Ice Golem, 1 Apprentice Warden, 2 Super Wall Breakers, 2 Headhunters, 3 Balloons, 1 Baby Dragon, 1 Wizard, 1 Minion
Spells (11) 2 Rage, 2 Freeze, 2 Skeleton, 1 Jump, 1 Poison
Siege Siege Barracks
Clan Castle Super Miner, 4 Hog Riders and an Archer
Heroes Barbarian King (Earthquake Boots, Spiky Ball), Archer Queen (Giant Arrow, Healer Puppet), Grand Warden (Eternal Tome, Rage Gem), Royal Champion (Rocket Spear, Electro Boots)

When to use it

Good in war, CWL and Ranked. It works best when there are plenty of outer buildings for a Warden walk to clear.

How to attack

  1. Start with a Warden walk along one side to clear outer buildings and shape that half of the funnel. Skeleton Spells distract single-target Infernos while he works.
  2. Send the Queen with the Siege Barracks on the opposite side to lock in the path.
  3. Drop the P.E.K.K.As, Bowlers, Healers and the King into the gap and push straight for the center.
  4. Rage the group as it hits the core and use the Warden’s Eternal Tome when the damage peaks.
  5. Send the Royal Champion late to clean side compartments and help the army exit the core.

Common mistakes

  • Skipping the Warden walk. Without it the P.E.K.K.As drift toward the outside buildings.
  • Dropping the Royal Champion early. Her job comes late, cleaning the side compartments the smash walks past.

3. Super Witch Fireball

A slow push that is hard to stop once it builds. The Grand Warden’s Fireball, an Epic piece of equipment, deletes a Scattershot or a stacked compartment, and Super Witches walk through the hole.

Army composition

Slot What to bring
Troops (300) 4 Super Witches, 5 Healers, 2 Super Wall Breakers, 2 Headhunters, 1 Ice Golem, 1 Valkyrie, 2 Wizards, 2 Balloons, 1 Archer
Spells (11) 4 Invisibility, 1 Earthquake, 1 Rage, 1 Jump, 1 Freeze, 1 Poison
Siege Siege Barracks
Clan Castle 9 Hog Riders
Heroes Barbarian King (Earthquake Boots, Spiky Ball), Archer Queen (Giant Arrow, Healer Puppet), Grand Warden (Fireball, Rage Gem), Royal Champion (Rocket Spear, Electro Boots)

When to use it

Compact war bases and Ranked. A Super Witch Smash army made a March 2026 list of the top TH13 Ranked attacks.

How to attack

  1. Walk the Warden in and fire the Fireball at a Scattershot, a stack of defenses or a high-value compartment. Invisibility Spells keep him alive long enough to reach it.
  2. Let the Warden keep walking briefly to improve the funnel, then send the Super Witches and the King into the opened section.
  3. Use the Queen and the Siege Barracks on the other side.
  4. Drop the Jump Spell late, not early, so the army stays tight through the core.
  5. Send the Royal Champion to clean the back end while the Big Boys tank in front.

Common mistakes

  • Wasting the Fireball on a single defense with nothing around it.
  • Running out of time. Super Witches are slow, so a sloppy funnel ends in a two-star at the timer.

4. Royal Champion Charge Dragons

The Royal Champion opens the attack under Invisibility Spells and takes out Air Defenses, Air Sweepers and, ideally, the Eagle Artillery. Once the air threats are gone, the Dragons have an easy job.

Army composition

Slot What to bring
Troops (300) 11 Dragons, 8 Rocket Balloons, 1 Baby Dragon, 1 Wizard, 2 Archers
Spells (11) 10 Invisibility, 1 Earthquake
Siege Siege Barracks
Clan Castle 3 Super Minions, a Rocket Balloon and an Archer; ask for Totem Spells if a high-level clanmate can donate them
Heroes Royal Champion (Rocket Spear, Electro Boots), Archer Queen (Giant Arrow, Healer Puppet), Minion Prince (Henchmen Puppet, Dark Orb), Grand Warden (Eternal Tome, Rage Gem)

A Ranked version of the same idea mixes in 4 Dragon Riders with 8 Dragons and runs 9 Invisibility, 1 Freeze and 1 Earthquake.

When to use it

Use it when the Air Defenses and Sweepers sit within reach of one side, so a single Royal Champion run can collect most of them. It also led off a March 2026 list of TH13 Ranked attacks.

How to attack

  1. Pick the side with the most air defenses within reach and drop the Royal Champion.
  2. Chain Invisibility Spells over her as she moves from defense to defense. Rocket Balloons placed beside her steer her path and snipe defenses on the way.
  3. Once most of the air threats are down, deploy the Dragons with the Warden and Minion Prince through the safest lane.
  4. Use the Queen to clear a side and any donated Totems to absorb damage in the core.

Common mistakes

  • Casting the Invisibility Spells all at once. Spacing them keeps the Champion alive longer, and her survival is the whole attack.
  • Sending the Dragons while an Air Defense still covers their path.

5. Electro Dragons

Electro Dragons breathe lightning that jumps from the target to up to four more nearby buildings, which punishes tightly packed bases. They are slow, but this is the most mistake-tolerant army on this list.

Army composition

Slot What to bring
Troops (300) 8 Electro Dragons, 8 Balloons, 1 Baby Dragon, 2 Wizards, 2 Archers
Spells (11) 3 Rage, 3 Freeze, 1 Skeleton, 1 Poison
Siege Siege Barracks
Clan Castle 3 Super Minions, a Rocket Balloon and an Archer
Heroes Archer Queen (Giant Arrow, Healer Puppet), Minion Prince (Henchmen Puppet, Dark Orb), Grand Warden in air mode (Eternal Tome, Rage Gem), Royal Champion (Rocket Spear, Electro Boots)

When to use it

Any time you want a safe attack: CWL days when you can’t afford a fail, Ranked, or a base you haven’t had time to study.

How to attack

  1. Funnel one side with the Queen and the other with the Siege Barracks.
  2. Send the Electro Dragons straight through the middle, between the funnels, not spread wide.
  3. Rage them early and use the Warden’s ability as they reach the core.
  4. Deploy the Minion Prince with them. He soaks damage and sets off air traps.
  5. Use the Royal Champion on the weaker edge to remove any Air Defense that could stall the push.

Common mistakes

  • A bad funnel. Spread wide, the slow Electro Dragons path around the outside and run out of time.
  • Holding the Rage and Warden ability too long. Both go in early with this army.

Other TH13 armies worth knowing

Sui Lalo (a Golem, Ice Golem, heroes and a Log Launcher take one corner, then Lava Hounds and Balloons circle the rest) and Yeti with Super Archers both appear on 2026 TH13 lists. For Ranked, the March 2026 list adds Mass Super Barbarians, Super Yeti Smash and Icy Witch Bat to the RC Charge Dragons and Super Witch Smash covered above.

Five TH13 Ranked armies, from the Sturge channel (March 2026).

Choosing an army for war, Ranked and farming

  • War and CWL: Queen Charge Hybrid when the Queen can reach the Town Hall, P.E.K.K.A Smash or Super Witch Fireball against compact bases, RC Charge Dragons when the air defenses line one side.
  • Ranked Battles: you can’t skip bases and attacks are limited each week, so lean on Electro Dragons, RC Charge Dragons or Super Witch Smash.
  • Farming in regular Battles: nothing is at risk, so use it to practice Queen Charge timing and RC charges before war.

TH13 attack strategy FAQ

What is the best TH13 attack strategy in 2026?

Queen Charge Hybrid has the highest ceiling and works against TH14 bases too. Electro Dragons is the easiest to get right.

Which heroes should I bring at TH13?

Most TH13 armies bring the Royal Champion plus three of the King, Queen, Warden and Minion Prince. Air armies tend to drop the King for the Prince; ground armies drop the Prince.

How many spells can I bring at TH13?

11 spell spaces in your army and 2 spells in the Clan Castle.

Which TH13 army works without maxed heroes?

Queen Charge Hybrid is pitched by its 2026 guides as an army that works even without maxed heroes or equipment, and Electro Dragons is the most forgiving if your execution slips.
