Power P.E.K.K.A

By October 1st, 2026No Comments

Updated for Town Hall 18 (October 2026).

The Power P.E.K.K.A is the heaviest hitter in the Builder Base: one armored melee troop per Army Camp slot, with the most hitpoints and damage of any Builder Base troop. You unlock her at Builder Barracks level 10 (Builder Hall 8), she arrives at level 13, and she maxes at level 20 on Builder Hall 10. Until May 15, 2023 she was called the Super P.E.K.K.A.

Super P.E.K.K.A is now Power P.E.K.K.A

If you searched for the Super P.E.K.K.A, this is the same troop. Supercell renamed her in the Builder Base 2.0 update on May 15, 2023, and the patch notes list her as “Power P.E.K.K.A (formerly Super P.E.K.K.A)”. The name “Super” now belongs to the Home Village Super Troops, so the old name was easy to confuse with something like the Super Giant. The Clan Capital version of the troop carries the new name too.

The rename came with real changes. Her Overcharge stopped being a passive death blast and became an ability you trigger, she got two new levels (19 and 20), and she was slowed down a little. The full list is in the changes section below.

How the Power P.E.K.K.A fights

She has no favorite target. She walks to the nearest building and hits it with a short-range sword swing (0.8 tiles, one swing every 1.8 seconds). If Guard Post troops or the Zappies from O.T.T.O’s Outpost attack her or a troop next to her, she turns to fight them, then goes back to the nearest building.

Her Overcharge is a one-time active ability. Tap her portrait and she leaps and explodes, dealing a set amount of damage to everything in a small circle around her. If she dies before you use it, it fires on its own, so the blast is never wasted. Only one Power P.E.K.K.A fits in an Army Camp at every level, so each one costs you a full slot on the deployment bar.

Unlock and level stats

Upgrading the Builder Barracks to level 10 needs Builder Hall 8. Since Builder Base 2.0, newly unlocked troops skip straight to a minimum level, and for the Power P.E.K.K.A that is level 13. Every level after that is researched in the Star Laboratory with Builder Elixir. Odd levels raise damage and hitpoints; even levels raise Overcharge damage.

Other stats that do not change with level: movement speed 16, spring weight 22, single-target ground attack, 1 unit per Army Camp.

How to attack with her

  • Use her as the front of a ground push. Her health soaks shots that would kill Raged Barbarians or Cannon Carts, and she sets off Mines and Mega Mines without much loss.
  • Clear a few outside buildings with cheaper troops first so she walks into the core instead of along the edge.
  • Save Overcharge for a cluster. The Zappies that pour out of a destroyed O.T.T.O’s Outpost in Stage 2 are the classic target, but the radius is small, so walk her right up to them before you tap.
  • Overcharge also hits through one layer of Walls. At Builder Hall 9 you get a second Reinforcement Camp, which lets you bring two Power P.E.K.K.As into Stage 2; two Overcharges can take down a same-level Outpost for the extra star.
  • When the Battle Machine is upgrading, she is the closest stand-in, but she has no self-heal, so do not rush her into a Crusher alone.

How to defend against her

  • The Crusher and Double Cannon do the most damage to a slow melee tank. Put them where she will arrive after the outer ring.
  • A Guard Post stalls her well, since each swing only kills one defender. Put the post behind Walls so she has to break through to reach the Sneaky Archers.
  • A Push Trap needs a spring capacity of 22 to move her, which means level 8 or higher. Aim it away from your core: pushing an un-Overcharged P.E.K.K.A into a walled cluster of defenses hands the attacker a free explosion.
  • The Spring Trap cannot throw her off the map (only troops with spring weight 4 or less get ejected), but it still tosses her and deals damage.

Changes over time

  • March 5, 2018: added as the Super P.E.K.K.A with the Builder Hall 8 update.
  • June 18, 2019: levels 17 and 18 added.
  • May 15, 2023 (Builder Base 2.0): renamed to Power P.E.K.K.A; levels 19 and 20 added; Overcharge changed into a one-time ability you activate; spring weight cut from 25 to 22; movement speed cut from 19 to 16; she now unlocks at level 13 instead of level 1.

FAQ

Is the Super P.E.K.K.A still in Clash of Clans?

Yes, under a new name. The Builder Base Super P.E.K.K.A has been the Power P.E.K.K.A since May 15, 2023. The Home Village P.E.K.K.A is a separate troop with its own levels.

What Builder Hall do you need for the Power P.E.K.K.A?

Builder Hall 8, to build Builder Barracks level 10. Levels 19 and 20 need Star Laboratory 10, which needs Builder Hall 10.

Does Overcharge go off by itself?

Only when she dies. While she is alive you choose the moment by tapping her icon, and you get one blast per battle.
